MT400 Adept Robotics
This Thursday, April 14, PopSci is going to get down at Stanford University's Robot Block Party in California, from the comfort of our desks in New York City. How? We'll be using the latest technology in telepresence, steering an Adept MT400 mobile robot around the party via a wireless connection.
The robot will be our eyes, ears, and vocal synthesizer, and our beaming face will be displayed on its screen, so you'll hardly be able to tell we're only virtually at the party.
Meanwhile, if you can't make it to Stanford, we'll also be streaming everything the robot sees and hears live on PopSci.com.
Join us at 1pm Pacific (4pm Eastern), right here.
